Update: 05/03/2026
Welcome to http://www.treasuresoflisboa.com.
Precious Ingredient Unipessoal LDA sells gastronomic tours in the city of Lisbon, Portugal.
These General Terms and Conditions govern the sale of gastronomic tours (hereinafter referred to as “Food Tours” or “Tours”) between Precious Ingredient Unipessoal LDA, owner of the Treasures of Lisboa brand (hereinafter referred to as “the Company” / “we”, “our”) and you (hereinafter referred to as “the Client”). Please read these terms carefully before placing an order with Precious Ingredient Unipessoal LDA. By placing an order with Precious Ingredient Unipessoal LDA, you acknowledge your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Bookings are made exclusively through the website http://www.treasuresoflisboa.com.
A booking is considered accepted only once the Client has received an email at the address provided during the booking process, confirming that the reservation has been approved.
The essential characteristics of the Tours and their respective prices are made available to the buyer on the website http://www.treasuresoflisboa.com. The parties agree that illustrations or photographs of the products offered for sale have no contractual value.
All prices are inclusive of all taxes (Portuguese VAT and other applicable taxes) unless otherwise stated.
We display the availability of the Food Tours we sell on our website. We cannot provide more detail regarding Tour availability than what is indicated on that page or elsewhere on the website. When processing your order, we will notify you as soon as possible by email, using the address associated with your order, if the Food Tour you have booked is unavailable, and we will not charge you for that Tour.
Precious Ingredient Unipessoal LDA reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. However, the Company commits to billing services at the prices indicated at the time the booking was registered.
Telecommunication costs required to access the Company’s website are the responsibility of the Client.
Payment for services is made in cash on the day the Tour takes place.
All bookings specify the Tour’s departure point. Should the meeting point change, the Company commits to informing the Client at least 24 hours in advance.
The duration of the services is stated at the time of booking. The duration of services may be modified under the following conditions:
In the event of a service being cut short on the day, the full amount of the service originally booked will remain due.
The description of services is specified on the website http://www.treasuresoflisboa.com or in the quote for bespoke services. It constitutes the indicative content of the service and takes into account the group’s standard mobility. By agreement with the Client, the guide may adapt the visit based on the audience and/or particular circumstances (weather, etc.). On-site, the guide is not obliged to accept modifications or adaptations to the content of the service as stated in the booking.
The Company offers a product discovery service but is in no way the designer or manufacturer of those products. Precious Ingredient Unipessoal LDA cannot therefore be held liable for any physical, intangible, or material damages resulting from the use of products encountered during the chosen culinary tour, which are provided solely under the responsibility of the restaurateurs and used solely under the responsibility of the Client.
The Company cannot be held responsible for the weather on the day chosen by the Client, and the culinary tour will take place regardless of weather conditions, except in cases of force majeure. It is the Client’s responsibility to make appropriate arrangements and wear suitable clothing. Similarly, the Client alone is solely responsible for their own safety.
Tours are designed for the number of people specified at the time of booking. In the event of a change in the number of participants, Precious Ingredient Unipessoal LDA must be informed as soon as possible.
Should additional participants join the group, Precious Ingredient Unipessoal LDA reserves the right to either refuse those participants for organisational and safety reasons, or to accept them and adjust the invoice accordingly to reflect the actual number of participants.
When travelling, we understand that unexpected situations may arise. That is why we apply a flexible cancellation policy.
Precious Ingredient Unipessoal LDA cannot be held responsible for the non-performance or delay in the performance of any of its obligations described in these general terms and conditions when such failure results from a force majeure event (exceptional and sudden closure of a tourist site, exceptional security measures, natural disaster, etc.). In this context, force majeure refers to any external, unforeseeable, and irresistible event within the meaning of Article 393 of the Portuguese Civil Code.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. Both you and we agree to submit any disputes arising from the commercial relationship between you and us to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the city of Lisbon. This means that, for the purposes of these General Terms and Conditions, you may bring a claim to enforce your consumer rights in Portugal or in the European Union country in which you reside.
We reserve the right to make changes to our website, our procedures, and our terms and conditions, including these General Terms and Conditions, at any time. You are subject to the terms and conditions, procedures, and General Terms and Conditions in force at the time you place a booking with us, unless a change to these terms and conditions is required by an administrative or governmental authority (in which case, the change may apply to orders previously placed by you). If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions is deemed invalid, void, or unenforceable for any reason, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
If you breach these General Terms and Conditions and we take no action, we shall still be entitled to exercise our rights and remedies in any other situation where you violate these General Terms and Conditions.
Right to use image: You agree to grant Precious Ingredient Unipessoal LDA an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use photos and videos taken during its Food Tours (hereinafter referred to as “the Material”) in which you may appear. Precious Ingredient Unipessoal LDA has the right to reproduce, distribute, broadcast, display, edit, scan, or otherwise use the Material in any manner and in any form, whether existing or created in the future, without restriction worldwide, on its website, in its catalogues, books, brochures, magazines or any other publication, as well as in any informational, commercial, promotional or advertising material (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Works”).
